At the end of October 2017 the time had finally come. TEXTOR could move into its additional assembly hall with an area of approx. 2,400 sqm. This was also urgently necessary, since the previous production areas were already bursting at the seams after only three years. After six months in the new hall, Martin Selbach - Production Manager at TEXTOR - is looking to the future with satisfaction. „We have succeeded in significantly improving work quality and delivery quality once again by restructuring workplaces and improving material flow.“

Weber and TEXTOR - just one contact person now
2016-11
The implementation of the TEXTOR brand has increased the product portfolio of the Weber group by a new concept. The customer is offered more choice. This has been well-received on the market.
At the same time, many customers signaled their desire for an easier communication and processing. And this is exactly what we now put into practice in Germany and all subsidiaries of the Weber group: as of now, the company offers the slicing systems of both brands from one source. Moreover, the sales area in Germany has been reorganized and divided into three territories: west, east, and south.
Sutter and TEXTOR - A joint story of Success
2016-08
The company Sutter was the first customer, who ordered a TEXTOR Slicer TS700. The Slicer was installed in 2013. Till now Sutter owns nine fully automatic TEXTOR Lines.
"Sutter country butcher's” has grown steadily, particularly with the production of high-quality cured ham and boiled sausage products. With over 900 employees, Sutter serves the retail food sector all over Europe, and this is why it needs to produce as effectively and efficiently as possible at its sites – actively supported by the Textor slicers.
In 2012, when Klaus-Peter Wilhelm from Sutter was on the look-out for possible alternatives to the slicers he had been using over many years, Textor had just been launched – and had … nothing. “Textor came to me with a concept”, says Mr Wilhelm with a grin, “they didn't have a finished product, but rather only an idea; however, this was so convincing that we accepted it”.
TEXTOR celebrated its big summer party. All members of staff and their families, managers from Weber and sales partners were invited.
There was something for all ages. While the children could get their faces painted and have a jump on the bouncy castle, machine demonstrations gave the families an insight into TEXTOR's products.
With delicious food and drinks, music provided by the band "Die Aufschneider" (The Slicers) and the European Championship game between Germany and Italy to top it all off, nobody was left bored.
All in all, it was a great success!

reddot design award for TEXTOR Slicer HMI
2013-11
TEXTOR’s new slicer HMI (Human Machine Interface) has received the well-known reddot design award 2013 in the category„Communication Design“.
The target of this joint development of the Weber group together with experts of HMI Project has been a simple and intuitive control of our slicers.
Based on multi-touch technology and easy recognisable graphical elements, this control allows to operate and control our slicers as easy as using a smartphone or tablet computer.
“This award proves our philosophy of building smart&easy machines. This goes for the basic mechanical and electronical concept of our systems, but also for the solution how to operate and control it“ says Joerg Schmeiser, Managing Director of TEXTOR.

New home for TEXTOR
2012-08
TEXTOR Maschinenbau GmbH was founded in December of 2011 and is the youngest member of the Weber group. At a total eleven companies in eight countries, the entire Weber corporation is one of the most important manufacturers of machines and equipment for the food-processing industry worldwide. Slicers, Robotics, Skinners, Icers and other modules help maximize both performance and returns for our customers.
With the inception of TEXTOR, Weber taps a whole new market segment. Developing and building slicers (cutting machines for sausage, ham and cheese) with a clearly defined range of functions sets the focus on the most relevant requirements of today’s global marketplace. The emphasis is always on the highest level of product quality “Made in Germany”.
“TEXTOR is developing and building its own range of slicers and may thus offer to its customers a true alternative”, says Jörg Schmeiser, managing director of TEXTOR. “We are distributing our products under the TEXTOR banner, and all sales operations are coordinated from our Wolfertschwenden location.”
The ground-breaking in Wolfertschwenden on 5 September, 2012, was the first step towards building this new home of TEXTOR on a lot of 19,000 square meters with production facilities and office space of approximately 4,500 square meters. “All construction work will mainly be performed by regional construction companies”, explains Günther Weber, founder and owner of the Weber group. “This investment reinforces yet again Weber’s clear commitment to Germany with Wolfertschwenden offering perfect infrastructure, road and rail communications for TEXTOR. One more major advantage is the very close and good cooperation with the community itself.” Until the new facilities are completed in 2013, TEXTOR employees will continue to work out of their rented space in Biessenhofen.
Expanding TEXTOR and its operations at the Wolfertschwenden location will also allow the Weber group to increase its overall level of performance for all of its customers thanks to an even greater and more flexible product portfolio. At the same time, new entrepreneurial energy is injected into the Allgäu region in the South of Germany.
